THE DUNGANNON TRILOGY, PART ONE
A Semi-Auto-Biographical script emerging from his MA in Creative Writing with early. drafts having had workshops at The Old Museum Arts Centre, Belfast and Craic Arts Centre, Coalisland. It is a work dealing with a claustrophobic family, dealing with Grief, Alcoholism, Abuse and Religion and the return of the eldest Son (now as a Priest). Plus, it has the sub-text. of the house and family being haunted by the 80's AIDS Epidemic and the presence of Death [emphasised through the insertion of a Meta-Short Film] all whilst making the mundane aspects of everyday life epic in nature.

THE DUNGANNON TRILOGY - PART TWO
The semi-autobiographical fable of Howard Rocks; a shy, introverted and lonely County Tyrone boy who, through various encounters, highlighting the socio-political worlds. of sexual masseuses, sex escorts and sex chat-line workers within a Modern-Ireland, London, New York and beyond, supposedly, grows into emotional maturity and towards the possibilities of love. Yet, at its heart, it has a father-son relationship in displacement with denied reconciliation, heightened with the Prodigal Son's, Howard’s, return to the family. home to care for his dying Father. Faithful to transcripts from real characters and their real stories, it's a subversive concert play, having had Workshop Performances at Warzone Collective, Belfast and The Teacher's Centre, Dublin with the aim of making the mundane of everyday life, epic in nature.

THE DUNGANNON TRILOGY - PART THREE
A Semi-Autobiographical Story about an Almost-Was / Wanna-Be Dancer-Choreographer who postponed their ambitions to move back home to live with and be Full-Time Carer for her mother. Exploring their relationship through an Original Musical Score and Verbatim Dance-Movements we learn about my Rare Family Hereditary Disease [Lebers Hereditary Optic Neuropathy]; its impact on other ailments and how it effects daily and planned living. Told, in Funny and Heartbreaking ways (Personal Monologues with Audio-Reminiscence Voice-Over), through Journal Entries, social media posts and scenes of dialogue (paying homage to the posts from LHON Society Face Book Group Page), the stories' trajectory follows the seven stages of Grief in conjunction with Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions – between Joy and Anger, between Despair and Love. Most of all, it represents PATRICK G HUGHES’ personal journey as a son who postponed or possibly gave up his career to become a full-time Carer for his Mother (now deceased) as it ‘allegorically’ wraps up a fable about his own personal, professional and artistic growth.
